Using the Roku app
The SoftWork Beats channel turns a Roku TV or streaming player into a lobby music display — genre and album art on screen, music through the TV or whatever it's connected to.
Set it up
- Add the SoftWork Beats channel to your Roku — search the Channel Store on the device, and check the apps page for the latest links.
- Open the channel and press the * (star) button on your remote to sign in.
- New to SoftWork Beats? Signing in with Roku creates your account on the spot. Already have an account? The TV shows a short code — open softworkbeats.com/roku on your phone or computer, sign in, enter the code, and approve the TV.
- Pick a genre with up and down on the remote, and press play.
Good to know
- The Roku counts as one seat while it's playing — the same account covers your other screens too.
- The Roku app doesn't have its own play/pause schedule yet; the web player and the Apple apps do.
- Sound follows the Roku's connection — TV speakers, soundbar, or receiver. More options in Getting the music to your speakers.
