Getting the music to your speakers
However your space is wired, there's a short path from SoftWork Beats to your speakers. Find your player below.
From a computer
- Wired (most reliable): run a cable from the computer's headphone jack to your powered speakers or amplifier — a 3.5 mm aux cable for small speakers, or a 3.5 mm-to-RCA cable into an amp or receiver.
- Bluetooth: pair a Bluetooth speaker in your computer's sound settings, then just press play.
From an iPhone or iPad
- AirPlay: tap the AirPlay button in the app and pick your AirPlay speakers or TV.
- Bluetooth: pair in Settings, and the app plays through it.
- Wired: a USB-C or Lightning to 3.5 mm adapter feeds any aux input, and an HDMI adapter feeds a TV.
From a TV box (Apple TV or Roku)
The music rides HDMI into the TV, so it plays wherever the TV's sound goes — its own speakers, a soundbar, or a receiver over HDMI-ARC or optical. If the TV is already part of your sound system, you're done.
Into an installed speaker system
If your building has in-ceiling or distributed speakers, an installer left an amplifier with a spare input (usually RCA or 3.5 mm line-in). Any player above can feed it:
- Pick the device that will live near the amp — a small computer or a spare tablet is perfect.
- Connect its headphone or line output to the amplifier's input.
- Press play, set the device volume around three-quarters, and set the room level on the amp.
